This Month's Skill: Being Strategically Selfish

Most women don't struggle because they aren't capable - they struggle because they've been taught to treat themselves as the last priority. They pour their time, energy, and attention into everyone and everything else, believing that's what responsible people do. Eventually, the asset holding it all together begins to run on empty.

Being strategically selfish is the practice of protecting the asset that makes everything else possible: you. It's learning to view your own energy, health, capacity, and well-being not as indulgences to earn, but as strategic investments that create better outcomes in every area of your life.

This skill shows up everywhere — in how you spend your time, the choices you make, the boundaries you hold, and the way you care for yourself while carrying the demands of work, home, relationships, and leadership. It determines whether you're simply surviving your life or building the resilience to sustain it.

In this 90-minute session, you'll:

• identify what genuinely replenishes your energy
• distinguish strategic investments from simple indulgences
• recognize where guilt keeps you from protecting your capacity
• learn how to evaluate decisions based on long-term return instead of short-term sacrifice
• create a personalized framework for investing in yourself with intention

Throughout the month, we'll help you not just understand this skill, but practice it  so protecting yourself becomes one of the most strategic ways you care for everything and everyone else that matters.
